Madden NFL 21: A New Update And More News

Madden NFL 21 has almost become synonymous with updates. Every week EA tries to improve the game with more or less success. However, this week’s update was received with skepticism by the fans. Trying to fix a game plagued with so many issues had some predictable side effects. Despite the backlash around this patch, EA has made big announcements about the future of the game.

Madden development team is presently doing their best to improve the game, unfortunately, the successive patches and hotfixes have started breaking other aspects of the game. After this week’s update, a large number of users have started complaining about balance issues, which is ironically one of the main reasons the fans were not happy with the game. The present update is the 21st since EA released the game, a number that explains the number of new issues as some people think that EA is starting to overreact.

The new update makes changes to the gameplay and fixes some minor issues in Madden Ultimate Team, Franchise, and The Yard modes, while also fixing some presentation issues. Concerning the gameplay, the patch fixes an issue, where Set Feet Lead and Pass Lead Elite abilities were not always giving the proper visual feedback when activated. The patch also fixes some collision issues between receivers and defenders and improve the AI pass-rush on All-Pro and All-Madden sill levels.

The other gameplay fixes mostly fix logic and players’ reaction issues. Concerning the game modes, MUT has two main fixes. The default X-factor no longer shows on a player item when you are on the compare screen, additionally, the way Solo Battle CPU teams are evaluated has changed. The Face of the Franchise and Franchise mode have also received minor issues, like HB players receiving the temporary rating boosts destined to QB or high OVR Free Agents that were removed from the game before you could sign them. The Yard mainly has stability and reliability improvements.

On another note, the fans have been waiting for a long time for an announcement about the Franchise mode. There was even a #FixMaddenFranchise trending on various social networks and EA had promised to give them a satisfying Franchise mode by the end of the year. It seems that they will keep their promise as a big Franchise update is expected for November. We will know for sure if it is true in the next days.
